The Position: Arabic Camp Boss
Liaises with: HR Manager, HSE Team Leader, Operations Manager, Logistics, Accounts and Payroll Department Heads
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrating total commitment to ARAMARK safety and management systems and plans, Client policies and safety systems and statutory requirements
• A proactive approach to safety
• Practising the highest personal standards
• Encourages employee involvement in platform safety systems and ARAMARK Safety and Performance (ASAP)
• Delivers ARAMARK Safe System Active Monitoring (ASSAM) as per the agreed review schedule
• Delivers ARAMARK staff safety meeting
• Manages all personnel under his control and ensures they are fully inducted, trained, appraised and competent to perform any assigned task. Maintain up-to-date records of inductions, training and progress
• Organises duty rotas, menu planning and cleaning rotas within budgetary targets
• Ensures all equipment is operating satisfactorily and where necessary, report defects
• Performs any other tasks within his competency as required by Management
• Has hands on involvement in preparing and serving meals to client prescribed standards within the budgetary framework laid down by ARAMARK
• Manages all aspects of the catering and housekeeping services on an offshore installation
• Manages and organises all personnel to provide a cost-effective quality service in a safe and healthy manner
• Develops and maintains healthy industrial relations climate conducive to a happy working environment
• Controls all stocks of food and non-food items, within agreed quality standards, inventory levels and budgetary constraints
• Operates all standard administrative procedures as laid down in the Unit Managers Handbook and the Standard Offshore Systems Manual, to provide accurate timely information, adequate control and concise records
• Implements and manages the training of all personnel in matters of operational skills, health, safety and hygiene
• Appraises his personnel and identifies training needs
• Develops effective communications with the client, personnel and ARAMARK management

Desirable Requirements / Experience :
• Hotel management and catering technology certificate
• H2S & BOISET
• Working with a fully trained chef
• Minimum of 2 years as a chef
• Bakery, breads and sweets
• Understanding of supervisory Management
• Arabic, European, Indian or Filipino Cooking
• Menu planning and budget control
Essential Requirements / Experience :
• Standards of training certification and watchkeeping (STCW)
• Food safety awareness
• Be able to communicate in English (verbally and written)
• Certificate of competency (COC) – Skilled certificate
• Offshore (Camp Boss) experience
• Service Industry
• Working away from home
• Knowledge and understanding of COSHH
• Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment
